Privacy notice

Privacy notice

This notice describes the personal information Bonzi Studio collects, how we use it, and the choices you have over it. It applies to bonzi.studio, our editor, and the APIs we operate.

Last updated May 1, 2026

Information we collect

We collect three categories of information: data you provide, data generated as you use the product, and a small amount of technical data your browser sends automatically.

  • Account information. Name, email address, and authentication identifiers from providers such as Google when you sign in.
  • Project content. Prompts, references, generated and uploaded media, edits, and project settings you store in Bonzi.
  • Billing information. Subscription state, plan tier, credit balance, and ledger entries. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
  • Usage and device data. Pages viewed, features used, IP address, browser, OS, and diagnostic logs.

How we use it

  • To operate, secure, and improve the editor and the AI workflows you run inside it.
  • To process payments, top-ups, and refunds, and to issue receipts.
  • To respond to support requests and notify you about material service changes.
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

AI providers and model processing

Bonzi orchestrates third-party generative-AI models to produce images, video, audio, and captions on your behalf. When you submit a prompt or reference, the relevant content is forwarded to the provider hosting the chosen model under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on your inputs. You can review the active provider for any clip in the project node's metadata.

Outputs returned by providers are stored in your project until you delete them. We do not use your project content to train Bonzi's own models.

When we share information

  • With service providers that operate parts of Bonzi (hosting, storage, email, payments, analytics, model inference) under written agreements limiting their use of your data.
  • With authorities when required by valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
  • With a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you and continuity of these commitments.

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate product usage. Where required by law we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can clear cookies and disable them in your browser at any time.

Retention

We keep account, project, and billing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can delete individual projects from the editor, and you can delete your account by emailing us at legal@bonzi.studio. Backups age out on a rolling schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at legal@bonzi.studio. We will verify your request and respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

International transfers

Bonzi is operated globally; your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

Children

Bonzi is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-product and the “Last updated” date at the top of this section will be revised.

Terms of service

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Bonzi Studio and the projects you create with it. By signing in or paying for a plan, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the service.

Last updated May 1, 2026

Your account

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your authentication credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Bonzi.

Subscriptions, credits, and billing

Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. You can cancel renewal at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access through that date.

Credit packs purchased under our pay-on-demand option are non-recurring, do not expire, and stack with any plan balance. Except where required by law, all payments are non-refundable. If we charge you in error we will correct it on request.

You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases unless we are required to collect them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bonzi to create, generate, or distribute content that:

  • violates the law, infringes intellectual-property rights, or breaches another person's privacy or publicity rights;
  • depicts sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content created to harass or threaten an identifiable person;
  • impersonates another person or organisation in a way that is misleading or deceptive;
  • attempts to disable, probe, or circumvent the service's security, rate limits, or billing controls; or
  • disseminates malware, instructions for weapons of mass harm, or material designed to facilitate self-harm.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on the severity of the conduct.

Your content and outputs

You retain all rights you have in the content you upload to Bonzi. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to provide the service to you (including forwarding it to the AI models you choose).

Subject to your compliance with these terms and applicable law, you own the outputs generated for you by the editor. Bonzi disclaims any ownership in those outputs except as needed to operate the service. AI-generated content may resemble third-party works; you are responsible for confirming you have the rights to use it for your intended purpose.

Our intellectual property

The Bonzi software, brand, and product surfaces are protected by intellectual-property laws. We do not grant you any right to use Bonzi's name, logos, or trade dress beyond use of the service as contemplated by these terms.

Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content hosted on Bonzi infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@bonzi.studio that includes: identification of the work, identification of the material to be removed, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the rightsholder's behalf, and your physical or electronic signature. Counter-notices follow the procedure in 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Bonzi at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that creates legal or operational risk. On termination, we may delete your projects after a reasonable recovery window.

Disclaimers

Bonzi is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI outputs can be inaccurate or unsuitable for your intended use; review them before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonzi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bonzi and its officers, employees, and agents from third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Changes to the service or these terms

We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the service.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bonzi is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.

Security overview

Security overview

A summary of how we protect Bonzi accounts, projects, and the systems that run them. We'll keep this document current as our practices evolve.

Last updated May 1, 2026

Encryption

Traffic between your browser and Bonzi is protected with TLS 1.2 or higher. Project data, uploads, and credentials at rest are encrypted at the storage layer using industry-standard ciphers. Secrets and API keys for downstream providers are stored in a managed secrets vault, not in source control.

Authentication

Sign-in is handled through Better Auth with support for OAuth providers (such as Google) and passwordless email flows. Sessions are short-lived, bound to the originating device, and revocable from the account page. We hash and salt any locally stored credentials.

Infrastructure

Bonzi runs on managed cloud infrastructure with hardened defaults, private networking, and least-privilege roles between services. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive raw card data. AI inference is performed by vetted model providers under written data-processing agreements that prohibit training on your inputs.

Access controls

Production access is restricted to engineers who need it, gated by multi-factor authentication, and logged. We review access on a recurring cadence and revoke it the moment it is no longer needed.

Backups and continuity

Project data is backed up regularly with point-in-time recovery for our primary database. Backups are encrypted at rest and aged out on a rolling retention schedule. We test restoration periodically.

Monitoring and incident response

We monitor application and infrastructure metrics for anomalies and follow a documented incident-response process. If a security incident affects your account, we will notify you without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Responsible disclosure

Found something? Email legal@bonzi.studio with reproduction steps and any relevant artifacts. We commit to acknowledging valid reports promptly and to engaging in good faith with researchers who follow responsible-disclosure practices. Please do not test attacks against accounts you do not own, and give us reasonable time to ship a fix before disclosure.

Compliance

Where applicable, our processing of personal information aligns with frameworks such as the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act. We continue to invest in additional certifications as our customer base requires them.
